About R&R Racing Products

For more than a decade, R&R Racing Products has been manufacturing the highest quality precision engineered billet race components, from our Pro-series aluminum and steel connecting rods to our dry sump oil pumps and injector assemblies. While other manufacturers attempt to dominate the market by mass producing their rods and selling them at cutthroat prices, R&R has taken a different approach. R&R Racing Products is dedicated to continuously improving its connecting rods and other products by actively seeking out new technologies, processes, and stronger materials, thereby standing up to their promise of exceeding and outperforming the competition time and time again. Independent and thorough bench and field testing performed by R&R places the utmost importance in ensuring the best set of connecting rods money can buy.

Starting in 1982, R&R first opened as a general machine shop. In 1985, we added an automotive machine shop that was later downsized in 1992 to start manufacturing specialty racing parts. That same year, the first billet R&R connecting rods were born. By 1995, our connecting rod business took over and we closed the general and automotive portion of our machine shop. R&R began manufacturing oil pumps in 1999 and added our injector assemblies in 2000. Today we cater only to the racing industry and we manufacture our own products and private label for other companies specialty connecting rods and billet aircooled cylinders.

In 1986 Mike met his future wife Julie and they moved to a blown gas ’71 Chevelle. In 1988, Mike married Julie and in 1992, they moved into a 1/4 mile drag boat. In 1992, Mike participated in 1/4” mile drag boat racing and won the championship title in 1997, 1998, and 1999 leading to his NDBA Driver of the Year in 1999. Mike retired from boat racing that same year to let his wife, Jules, take a stab at racing. Julie Riechers started racing in 2001 in IHRA national events in Lenco Quick 8 portion of top dragster. She won one first place and runner up three other races her first year, then setting the track record at Bunker Hill, IN in 2002 with a 3.98 1/8” mile pass. In 2002, Julie ran with Pro-Top Outlaws and finished 5th overall in points and finished 2nd overall in points the following year in 2003. In 2004 and now in 2005, Mike built and Julie races their new McAmis ‘68 Camaro Pro-Mod blown alcohol drag car. They can be seen at AMS Staff Leasing Pro Mod NHRA Series.
